Our Aim & Vision
Bandon Family Resource Centre has been in Bandon since 2019. Our main objective is to work within the local community in Bandon and the surrounding area to promote the wellbeing of children and families. The family support workers and coordinator work to meet the needs through face-to-face work, home visitation, group work, education, and training.
We work with children, individuals and families who find themselves in vulnerable situations. They are supported through home visitation and practical support and include those referred by other agencies, schools, social workers and the Gardai. Groups are in place for young people, women and parents. Children are facilitated in access with parents and families.

Statement from the Chairperson
Bandon Family Resource Centre (BFRC) programme is set up to deliver services and supports to all individuals, families and communities in the Bandon area. The coordinator and family support workers work to meet People’s needs through face-to-face work, home visits, group work, education and training. We work with all the community but will assist those who find themselves in vulnerable situations. Groups are in place for mothers and toddlers, young people and women.
We strive to promote equality under the nine grounds of the equality legislation which are: Race, Age, Gender, Disability, Family Status, Civil Status, Sexual Orientation, Religious Belief & Membership of the Traveller Community.
Bandon Family Resource Centre is funded by TUSLA (The Child & Family Agency). At Bandon Family Resource Centre, we aim to assist individuals to reach their potential.
The Project Co Ordinator, Louise Hackett works with the Board to implement the workplan and work towards the overall development and sustainability of the project.
The project reaches out to people living in the town and the rural hinterland including the Electoral Divisions of Kilbrogan, Kilbrittain, Ballinadee, Innishannon and Bandon. The FRC links with and works in collaboration with local and national agencies to share information, act as a referral point and to promote wellbeing within the community of Bandon.
Our work is underpinned by the 5 National Outcomes (Better Outcomes, Brighter Futures) and we strive to achieve these outcomes either directly or indirectly across the broader FRC Programme, working with the entire community to bring about positive outcomes for children, young people, families and the community as a whole.
